Project Overview
A refreshing rebrand that captures the lively spirit of both winter and spring time in the Vail Valley.
The Town of Vail seasonal event series, formerly known as Revely, needed a stronger brand identity and greater clarity. The goal was to create a brand system that could shift from spring to winter, capture the exciting energy that both seasons bring to the town, and invite every visitor and local to feel at home, no matter their age, interests, or reason for being in Vail.
In order to do so, we (970 Design and I) renamed from Revely to Vail Après, broadening the brand from a holiday-focused identity to an all-encompassing après celebration. We then developed a dynamic branding system that changes with the seasons, split into spring and winter. Each has its own distinctive yet cohesive colors, branding symbols, and taglines, brought to life through vibrant and energetic imagery. This captured the lively spirit of spring and winter in the mountains and created a recognizable branding system that gave the Town of Vail the flexibility they need.
Logo Lockups
Neue Kabel leads the Vail Après wordmark for both spring and winter, the tagline changes to reflect the energy that the two seasons bring. For spring, we captured the the energetic spirit that spring time encapsulates. The tradition of sitting in the sun and listening to music after a ski day, highlighted through a bold, retro font, Pump Pro.

We created brand symbols that can be used throughout collateral pieces to build the brand identity and bring the youthful spirit of the brand to life.

Neue Kabel once again leads the Vail Après wordmark for the winter branding with the tagline changing to reflect the energy that winter brings to the valley. For winter, we captured the community oriented nature of Vail and highlighted how winter brings the town and its visitors together as they celebrate the fresh snowfall and joyful occasions.
